Helium LTA :: please help i am at a stand still. Author: Boonethelunkerlander Subject: please help i am at a stand still Posted: Sat Jan 15, 2005 8:04 pm (GMT 0) Topic Replies: 0
ok i am sure yall are tired of hearin my questions aboout this topic but i am at a major stand still on which reel to buy. i have narrowed it down to 2 reels the DAIWA ALPHAS, or the SHIMANO CHRONARCH 50MG . so my dad and i had some time alone today and we talked about new rods and reels. i brought up the idea of me only buyin one rod and reel a year, which he enjoyed(i guess). oh forget which company you are partial to, which one of these reels sounds better to you, and the people who have them which ones performs better. i plan to put it on a helium 6'6 MH and will be fishin t-riged worms, c-riged worms, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, and senkos, basically all other baits and plastics, and i also plan to put yo-zuri hybrid, or seaguar 15 lb on the reel. If you have had either one of these reels or know someody who has please let me know of any problems they have had with them, besides the norm, (small sounds when castin-which can be fixed by greasin, ect....) but any mojor problems please let me know, being 15 spendin 250-300 bucks on a reel and another 220 on a rod is a major investment as it problalby is to most of you.
Thanks in advance _________________ Boone Barton Master fishtalker on Bill Dances FishTalk Western Ky [Kistler Custom Fishing Rods]

I have 4 HE70MCs and just ordered my first HE70MLC rod. I wanted it for finesse baits. I d/k how it could be 'better' for even light-weight baits but I'll see. If it's your first Helium, I go with the HE70MC as it will throw 1/4 oz baits-----with the 'right' reel and lighter(10-12lb) weight line.
